Last night in Bedford, something magical happened. The first leg of my one-woman musical, Caught You In A Lie opened at The Place Theatre and what a night it was. The room was alive. The audience weren’t just spectators; they were part of the story. They laughed, they cried, they danced, and they journeyed with me through every twist and turn.
The feedback afterwards was overwhelming. So many of you came up to me to say how much the story resonated, how it mirrored parts of your own journey, how it made you think about your own voice. For me, that is the real success of the night not just performing, but connecting.
Why I tell MY story.
Storytelling has power. When we share our stories honestly, we give others permission to reflect on their own. My story is not always easy to tell, it is woven with love, pain, betrayal, growth, and freedom. But through the music and performance, I’ve found a way to give voice to experiences that many of us carry quietly.
As a coach, I see this every day: the moment someone finds the courage to speak their truth, everything begins to shift. Confidence grows. Healing begins. Purpose becomes clearer. Your story becomes a bridge, first to yourself, then to others
Art meets coaching
On stage last night, I realised how deeply my work as an artist and as a coach are connected. Both are about voice, are about liberation, about creating spaces where people can be seen, heard, and valued.
When I perform, I’m not just sharing songs. I’m modelling what it looks like to step into your truth and own it, even when it’s uncomfortable. When I coach, I’m guiding others to do the very same, to break silence, to rise, and to live unapologetically.
Gratitude
None of this happens alone. I have to honour my incredible team: the musicians and singers who lifted the music higher, the sound engineer who made every note sing, the backstage angels, the merchandising team, and those who supported me personally. You carried me in more ways than one.
And to Bedford, thank you.
You welcomed me, embraced the show, and reminded me why telling our stories matters so deeply.
The journey continues
This is just the beginning. The next stop for Caught You in a Lie: The One-Woman Musical Show will be Watford, Talisman House on 25th October. Tickets are available now at www.yvonnemichele.com or via Eventbrite.
If you haven’t yet experienced it, come. Not just for the music, but for the reminder that your story is worth telling, your voice is worth hearing, and your journey has power. Because when we dare to tell our truth we don’t just set ourselves free, we light the way for others to do the same.
An invitation
If you were there last night and it stirred something in you, if you’re ready to explore your own story, to find your voice, and to step more fully into who you are I’d love to walk alongside you. Through my coaching, I help women and men uncover their stories, transform their pain into purpose, and build the confidence to share their truth.
Your story is waiting to be told. Are you ready?
